Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company’s network infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our network systems. Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage our company’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless network infrastructure
  • Configure and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues, including connectivity, latency, and bandwidth problems
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
  • Collaborate with system administrators and other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of network and server infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures
  • Evaluate new networking technologies and make recommendations for network enhancements or upgrades
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as needed
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network emergencies outside of regular business hours

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Proficiency in network routing and switching protocols, such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, and STP
  • Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Aruba
  • Familiarity with network security principles and best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, and SolarWinds
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Certifications:

  • Optional: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications
